The Kaua'ian with the coolest name in surfing charges heavy waves all around the world and is a legendary backside tuberider. His epic wave at Cloudbreak made the cover of Surfer's big issue . He’s a great chef who runs a tight ship at the Quiksilver Pipe house and makes sure that everyone who stays there cleans up after themselves and earns their keep.
Regarded as one of the best regular footers at Pipe, his land/water act is as polished as they come. From manning the grill for the North Shore’s elite, promo signings at local high schools or taking off way behind the boil at Pipe, Reef represents what Quiksilver is all about.

The guys over at ESPN did an article on athletes and their cars. Specifically surfers, skaters, bmx’ers, and anyone that can fall into the Action Sports bucket. Reef McIntosh made the cut with his 2009 Audi A4. Click here to check it out.
Mark Healey, Reef McIntosh and Clay Marzo just got back from Tahiti where they had a great run at the Teahupo’o trials event in Tahiti. The contest was held in perfect 4-6 foot barrels and Clay stole the show on Day 1, earning the highest total scores of nearly every round and taking out last year’s main event runner up, Manoa Drollet. Julian Wilson also surfed well in his first comp at the legendary spot but went down in Round 3. In the quarters, Reef narrowly beat Clay and then Healey slipped by Reef in the semis. Healey then surfed the final against local standout, Heiarii Williams and came in second. Unfortunately only one spot in the main event was up for grabs, which was a bummer because all of them would have done damage to the Top 45. Check out Jeff Flindt’s photos and stay tuned for action from Kelly Slater, Fred Patacchia and Jeremy Flores during the rest of the main event on the live webcast.
