Short Biography

Marcos is the four time national champ and the one time national jr. champ in Ecuador. He comes from Portuguese surf family. As a professional surfer, he is the first Ecuadorian to fully dedicate his life, time, and work to surfing. Marcos is recognized not only for his surf skills but also for his personality and charisma. He is one of the most influential surfers and athletes in the country. In 2006 Marcos began the Goncalves Quiksilver Surf Camp. His camp is the most complete surf camp in Ecuador. The same year, he won the Red Bull night expressions contest, where he competed against the best surfers in Latin America. This year he is working on photo shoots and competing in the ALAS tour.
